This is the first map light we designed in the 1980s was for the MLRS. It was approved by the U.S. Army in 1985. The Soldiers that tested it at Fort Sill were so impressed by the light that they went out of their way to note on the assessment forms that the light did not wash out their night eyes — obviously a critical point.
