Phantom is Headed to the 2026 NGAUS Conference!
We’re hitting the road again! The Phantom team is excited to be heading to Indianapolis for the 148th NGAUS General Conference & Exhibition, happening August 28–31, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center.
This is one event we always look forward to because it brings us face-to-face with the men and women of the National Guard — the exact people we have in mind when we design and manufacture our military lighting.
If you’re attending NGAUS Conference 2026, we hope you’ll come find the Phantom team, say hello and get a firsthand look at some of the American-made lighting products we build for military personnel, vehicles and mission-specific applications.
What is NGAUS?
The National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) has been advocating for the National Guard since 1878, making it the nation’s oldest military association.
Today, NGAUS represents more than 40,000 Army and Air National Guard officers and supports approximately 450,000 current Guard men and women, along with their families, employers and Guard retirees.
Its mission is an important one: helping ensure the National Guard has the readiness, modernization, equipment, training and support it needs to accomplish its missions at home and around the world.
That makes NGAUS pretty special to us at Phantom.
What Happens at the NGAUS Conference?
The annual NGAUS General Conference & Exhibition is one of the largest gatherings of National Guard leaders, members and defense industry partners in the country.
More than 4,000 Guard officers, spouses and supporters are expected to gather in Indianapolis this year to network, participate in professional development, help shape the NGAUS legislative agenda, hear from defense leaders and see what’s coming next from the defense industry.
The exhibition itself is huge, with more than 300 companies and organizations expected to showcase equipment, technology and solutions supporting the Guard’s incredibly diverse mission.
Unlike military trade shows focused primarily on one service or mission, NGAUS brings together the Army Guard, Air Guard and domestic response communities. That creates a pretty unique opportunity to see how new equipment and technologies can support everything from overseas deployments to emergency response right here at home.
Why Does Phantom Love Attending NGAUS?
For us, the best part of NGAUS isn’t simply displaying products. It’s the conversations.
We get to meet the people who actually use military equipment in the field, hear what they’re dealing with and learn what they need from the next generation of equipment.
Phantom has been designing specialized lighting for the U.S. military for decades. Our products are built for environments where lighting isn’t just about being able to see — it can affect visibility, safety, situational awareness and mission effectiveness.
At NGAUS, we’ll be showcasing products such as the Phantom Warrior® along with lighting designed for individual personnel and military platforms. We’ll also be talking about our AZL, Hawk, Sentry, military vehicle lighting, interior vehicle lighting, TOC and tent lighting and other mission-specific solutions.
Those conversations matter because we don’t want to build products in a vacuum. Hearing directly from National Guard personnel helps us understand real-world requirements and continue improving the lights we build.
Built in America for Those Who Serve America
There’s another reason NGAUS feels like such a natural fit for Phantom.
We’re a third-generation, family-owned American company, and we’re proud to manufacture our products in the USA using American parts and American manufacturing.
Our family has been developing specialized lighting solutions since 1943, and supporting the people who serve this country remains at the heart of what we do today.
When National Guard soldiers and airmen are responding to a disaster at home, training for their next mission or deploying overseas, their equipment has to work. We take our role in that seriously.
